The Albany Unified School District is one of the top public school districts in California, with Albany High School placing 23 in the Metro Bay Area and 128 in California according to a US News Ranking. Because of this, some of the Bay Area’s best and brightest have made Albany their home. This makes for a highly educated work force and a high average income.
Albany offers a pedestrian friendly commercial experience along Solano Avenue. The City invested in communal outdoor gathering spaces in commercial areas by introducing the first Bus Stop Parklet in the country.
