Albany is home to a wide array of bars and restaurants with something for everyone. Albany residents and visitors can enjoy award-winning cocktails, Michelin recognized restaurants, and even an independent live music venue that has made a name for itself in the Bay Area music scene.

The Albany Unified School District is one of the top public school districts in California, with Albany High School placing 23 in the Metro Bay Area and 128 in California according to a US News Ranking. Because of this, some of the Bay Area’s best and brightest have made Albany their home. This makes for a highly educated work force and a high average income.

Albany offers a pedestrian friendly commercial experience along Solano Avenue. The City invested in communal outdoor gathering spaces in commercial areas by introducing the first Bus Stop Parklet in the country. The Solano Avenue Stroll, hosted by the Solano Avenue Association, and Concerts in the Park, hosted by the City of Albany, are just a couple of annual mainstays that Albany residents and visitors love!
